School of computer science expertise focused on practice and projects. Software development, innovation, internships, an international year, and a final project. A project-based teaching approach, where failure is part of the program.
Year 1: the "piscine" and learning the fundamentals Everything begins with the back-to-school "piscine": a month of total immersion in the C language, with no lectures, daily exercises to submit, and Marvin, our automated grader. We quickly discover the school's founding principle: no one is going to explain how to do things. We're given a topic with a problem, constraints, and a deadline, and it's up to us to figure out how to manage, alone or with other students. This first year lays the groundwork: algorithms, C, project management, teamwork. Above all, we learn an essential skill: learning to learn on our own, to seek out information, and to organize ourselves under pressure. Year 2: the shift toward autonomy Year 2 confirms the pace: more languages, more projects, often running in parallel. C, C++, a bit of security, databases, the first systems projects. We learn to manage stress, deadlines, and above all to collaborate with very different personalities, since we don't always choose our teammates. Year 3: specialization and the start of the final-year project Starting in the third year, we also begin choosing modules that shape our profile: web development, embedded systems, security, AI, video games... The technical foundation is solid, and this is when we discover what we truly enjoy doing. Year 4: the big departure abroad Year 4 is spent entirely outside France, at one of Epitech's partner campuses around the world. It's a real cultural and academic shock: a new environment, a new working language most of the time, new classmates from other classes or other countries. We learn to adapt to a completely different context, to work with methods and work cultures we're not familiar with, far from our usual points of reference. Year 5: professionalization and completion of the final-year project Back in France, the final year focuses on the chosen specialization and on large-scale projects. The "end-of-studies project," or "Epitech Innovative Project" (EIP), which began earlier in the program, comes to completion: over several semesters, a team develops a product from A to Z, from the initial idea to a working prototype, managing the technical, product, and sometimes entrepreneurial aspects all at once. What I take away from it Epitech trains versatile developers, capable of adapting. The school's real strength doesn't lie in technical skills: it lies in the ability to work as a team under pressure and to manage a project from start to finish.

Chung-Ang University is a private South Korean university with two campuses: the main campus located in Seoul, and an additional campus in Anseong. It has approximately 30,000 students, including 2,500 international students. It is a university recognized both for its prestigious programs in film, theater, and communication, and increasingly for its scientific and technological programs.
As part of my 4th year at Epitech, and during the Covid period, I had the opportunity to complete 2 full semesters at Chung-Ang University in Seoul. This opportunity allowed me to discover a new culture, a new language, new encounters, and a learning environment different from anything I had experienced before.
Coursera
Coursera is an online learning platform (MOOC). It offers online courses developed in partnership with prestigious universities (Stanford, Yale, Imperial College London...) and companies (Google, IBM, Meta...).
During a career break, I took several courses on the platform to grow, build up new skills, and earn certifications for completing these courses. STI2D is a technological track of the baccalauréat, oriented toward engineering and technological innovation. In the final year, students choose a specialization among four: SIN, ITEC, EE, and AC.
The SIN specialization focuses on the world of digital technology, computing, and networks. It prepares students to understand, design, and develop systems that process, transmit, and store information. Main topics: - Computer networks: architecture, protocols, network security - Programming: algorithms, application development - Embedded systems: microcontrollers, sensors, connected objects (IoT) - Telecommunications: data transmission, digital signal - Cybersecurity: basic concepts of system protection
